La Canadenca, not La Canadiense

[edit]

The strike took place in Barcelona, a city in which, in 1919, catalan was used by everyone meanwhile spanish was not -aside from administration-. The name of the strike comes fr the popular name of the BL&P, which was therefore in catalan.

It makes no sense to use an spanified term which wasn't a thing instead of the local term which gives name to the strike: La Canadenca — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.161.22.93 (talk) 04:34, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The previous comment is original research. The sources cited speak of La Canadiense, not La Canadenca. See, for instance, [1].--Josep Amunt i Avall (talk) 17:45, 4 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Balcells 2009

[edit]

Hi@Michalis Vazaios, could you add the full citation for Balcells 2009? It currently doesn't point to one. czar 08:16, 20 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

And a page number for the Marinello Bonnefoy source? Also we usually don't cite doctoral theses, if there is a more reliable source for us to use. czar 08:21, 20 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I changed the source with a book. There are more sources for this part in this page in Spanish Wikipedia. Michalis Vazaios (talk) 21:46, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Most of them in Spanish, however. Michalis Vazaios (talk) 21:52, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know what a "full" citation is but I added a URL to the citations. Hope it's ok. Michalis Vazaios (talk) 21:44, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, @Michalis Vazaios. Footnote #30 in La Canadenca strike#Aftermath is still missing a page number. Do you have one? czar 16:40, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Michalis Vazaios, checking back if you have that page number. Alternatively, we can remove that part if we cannot verify it. czar 22:10, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed it for now but feel free to restore the content with a specific page number for verification. czar 13:21, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Czar, thanks for the work of checking. Sorry I didn't reply earlier. I haven't been editing that much lately but still, I should at least have given an earlier reply. I'll restore it when I have a page number. Michalis Vazaios (talk) 17:04, 16 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
