Shouldn't the article be at Lalaine? She is more commonly known by that name. See Wikipedia:Naming conventions (common names).

Removed who is a native of Manila, Philippines, as she was born in California, and grew up in California. This negates being a native of anywhere, but California. If added, should maybe be listed as "cultural heritage is Philippino", or similiar. <>Who?¿? 8 July 2005 08:52 (UTC)
Sorry about the accusations of Vandalism Mrblondnyc, I guess it was made in good faith. I believe it was mentioned somewhere on her website that one of her grandparents was Spanish (as from Spain I think), which would make her 25% Spanish. I believe this is significant enough to consider her Spanish American. Additionally, according to U.S. census, anyone who can trace their lineage and such back to a country which has Spanish as it's first language (i.e. Spain) would technically be considered Hispanic. 03-Apr-2006 - Doomstars
I still think someone is considered Hispanic by U.S. census definition if their ancestry hails from any country which has Spanish as it's first language. (Not sure about Latino still.) One example would be Spain. Another example would be Mexico. A non-example would be Brazil. 06-Apr-2006 - Doomstars
I didn't see your comment here before I made the comment in the history page so please disregard that one.
I accept your apology. But I hope it wasn't you that got me blocked. Since her grandfather is from Spain, I stand corrected about her being Spanish-American. But from what I can tell, people of Spaniard descent are not necessarily considered "Hispanic/Latino". For example, I never see Martin Sheen referred to as a Hispanic/Latino even though he is half-Spanish. Actors Hank Azaria and Dan Hedaya are of Spanish Jewish Sephardic descent but they also are not considered Hispanic/Latino. (I saw Azaria on Conan O'Brien say his grandparents were from Spain) The Phoenix family (River, Joaquin, etc) also have considerable Spanish ancestry but also they are not considered as such. So from what I can tell maybe because Spain is a European country that people from there are not necessarily considered "Hispanic/Latino" but Europeans who happen to speak Spanish. So I left the "Spanish-American actors" category, but I deleted the "Hispanic American actors" category because none of the actors I mentioned, not even Banderas or Cruz, are listed as "Hispanic American". Thanks for responding.MrBlondNYC 09:26, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
In the article is says she's mestizo. Is there a source for that? Crumbsucker 01:11, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
i edited a few things on the ethnicity, it just sounded a bit amateurish, especially the bit someone tried to hide at the very end mentioning she also has chinese ancestry but only a little. Sounded unproffesional. hope you dont mind.--Jandela 04:47, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Heh. Maybe she dosen't even have any spanish in her. Maybe she's suffering from IMSCF Syndrome. Come on, Filipinos do it all the time. Coojah 04:23, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Atleast she should have an image in the Articl. http://starbulletin.com/2005/03/17/features/art4a.jpg is good. Anyone, plz edit and have her pic in main article.
First of all, Lalaine doesn't mean "wool". Wool is laine, and Lalaine is closer to la laine, "the wool". Secondly, unless someone can point to a source for the idea that Lalaine is derived from the French word for wool, it counts as "original research" and so should not be included. Image:Lalaine inyg.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:55, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
All 3 references in the article are dead link or not valid as of now. Someone pls provide the alternative references...Gprince007 15:22, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Did I miss something where this was confirmed? WAVY 10 Fan (talk) 20:47, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You basically grew up in the States. How Filipino are you now?
We go to Church every Sunday. I am very close to my family. At home, we have a big『Santo Niño』that you can see as soon as you enter our house. It was given by a good friend from the Philippines.
Just now, somebody added that she was arrested for doing drugs. The source quoted is TMZ.com and it is written by "TMZ staffers" which i feel are just online-bloggers and not correspondents. I searched the net but couldnt get any alternate source for this claim....I feel that TMZ may not be reliable source and we need an alternate source before putting this info in the article. I want to know what others think of it....Gprince007 (talk) 18:42, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
There is a link under TMZ's blurb about her drug bust, they have a copy of the actual affidavit, if you click the blue "popped back" link in their story. I will not edit the page, but think it is a fair to include this in her bio since there is a legal affidavit to back up TMZ's claims. (Remember Harvey Levin, the editor of TMZ, is a lawyer and knows how to find ALL the public records of celebrities criminal arrests), direct link to bench warrant affidavit --> http://www.aolcdn.com/tmz_documents/0425_lalaine_wm_01.pdf —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.199.200.103 (talk) 22:13, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
i added the below tex due to addding 2 additional distinct sources:
Lalaine was arrested in 2007 and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine. She has pled guilty to the crystal meth charge, but her record will be expunged when she completes a drug-treatment program.[1][2][3]

Looking back at the article history this user is deleting all mention of rehab or anything negative from the article making comments such as "let it go, sheesh, they made mistakes" this seems utterly biased to me and totally goes against wikipedias aims and neutrality. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.114.251.86 (talk) 08:50, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
