Autobiography[edit]

In the article it states that Zasetsky wrote a journal of his experience. In The Mind's I it states that he wrote an autobiographical account of what it was like to be him.[1] If the journal/autobiography has been published in English then I would like to read it.74.205.219.197 (talk) 01:40, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What you want is Alexander Luria's The Man with a Shattered World: The History of a Brain Wound (2004). Luria was a master of the case study; he writes about his patients very engagingly. EEng 02:48, 12 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your response. I had read about the book The Man with a Shattered World, so was fishing for whether Zasetsky's journal/autobiography had been published and, if so, whether in English. The answer would seem to be no. 74.205.219.247 (talk) 03:08, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Shattered World is largely excerpts from the journals. I gather you haven't actually got hold of it, and given your interest I urge you to do so. It's a common textbook so you can probably pick it up used for $1. EEng 03:29, 29 November 2021 (UTC) P.S. And you might try Mind of a Mnemonist while you're at it.[reply]
