Not so early, not so large.

[edit]

The article in the lead implied they began producing films in 1891, when later it states they only made lantern slides until 1898. Then it says that while it operated, until 1910, it was the largest producer of films, making 300. The Internet Movie Database [1] shows that among other major early film producers Edison Manufacturing Company [U.S.] produced 1443 films through 1910. If we restrict the comparison to the years Limelight produced its 300 films, apparently 1898-1910, Edison Manufacturing Company still produced several times as many as Limelight, 1153 oer IMDB. Pathé Frères [France] [2] produced 871 films 1907-1910. Edison (talk) 20:17, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Henry Howse

[edit]

According to this reference [1] Henry Howse was instrumental in establishing the Limelight Department but he is not mentioned in this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bebofpenge (talkcontribs) 04:55, 23 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The link at the foot of the page to the ABC website is broken. The next nearest relevent link is to an episode of "Rewind" telling the story of Limelight: http://www.abc.net.au/tv/rewind/txt/s1230009.htm --Icabelieveitmei (talk) 21:03, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification on sources for Soldiers of the Cross

[edit]

Citations needed for statements about Soldiers of the Cross. Where did the information about budget and production come from? Could the editor please provide. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Betarhoiota (talkcontribs) 03:40, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
