Move of Lisa Marie Smith to Lisa Marie (actress)[edit]
Editors should always consult an article's discussion page before considering to rename it. Having, unfortunately, failed to follow that stricture, I subsequently noticed the above WP:RM and realized that any renaming may be considered as controversial and therefore should be put up for discussion. Having said that, I need to reaffirm my reason for the move, which stems from the fact that the subject, herself, uses "Lisa Marie" as her stage name, confirmed by her listing on IMDb, and is not known to the public as "Lisa Marie Smith". The parenthetical qualifier "(actress)" becomes, of course, necessary since there is already a Wikipedia disambiguation page which uses Lisa Marie as its title and contains some ten entries listing subjects who use "Lisa Marie" as their given name. If there is any objection to today's move, please indicate so below, thus allowing for another discussion and, if need be, restoration of previous title or proposal for another title.—Roman Spinner(talk)18:29, 28 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
