Untitled[edit]

Jengod: There's nothing UNCATOGERIZED about the other cities you've included - they are cities of a certain population level. You've just not wanted to do the work to explain the information is based on 2004 population estimates and not the 2000 Census. Well, do the work. They certainly aren't UNCATOGERIZED (a nebulous phrase that helps no one).

I agree. This should be changed. Just go to the pages for each city and figure out what their populations is. But I have serious questions about the inclusion of those "uncategorized" locations. These number don't match what is in the city articles. Either they should be removed from this page, or the numbers updated on the city article pages, with some indication as to where they number is coming from. RickK 01:56, 22 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Jengod: Are you really not clear on what the 2000 CENSUS means?? Either change the header to reflect that the data you've put in the article is from 2004, or don't include the new data. It's not rocket science. Moncrief, 22 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Dude, I was just trying to help. You can have your glorious little province. Enjoy. jengod 03:02, Feb 22, 2004 (UTC)

Yes, it's unforunate that this RickK person has to put a damper on things. (self-righteous people: ugh!) Actually, it's at least a good start for Jengod to add those cities to show there are indeed more cities with Asian American predominance. By the way, Moncrief, judging by Jengod's personal homepage, she's female!

(I'm the guy that keeps working and updating the San Gabriel Valley article constantly.) S. 172.198.51.117 07:34, 23 Feb 2004 (UTC)

As I mentioned, I have no problem including those cities that an article in the LA Times now estimates are majority Asian American. However, if you're going to include them, you need to either put an asterisk next to those cities citing the fact that the information about them is not from the 2000 Census or otherwise reformulate the entry to show that what it says in the header about this being official census data does not apply to these additional cities. That's all. Moncrief 07:38, 23 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Some cities to watch out for (Asian American populations almost reaching 50%): San Gabriel, California; Rosemead, California; San Marino, California.

It's too bad we have to wait till 2010 to get the updated official statistics.

Don't be put off, Jengod. There are some people who think they know everything and think they're the ones in charge (unfortunately).  :(

Second table[edit]

The second table should be sorted automatically. It is also very confusing with rank numbers missing.

Additionally, the first two tables do not agree with the lead which repeatedly states that the page only includes cities with a majority (>50%) Asian. —Naddruf (talk ~ contribs) 20:58, 16 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
