The article is called "List of largest corporate profits and losses". Yet the table introduces another term - earnings. Is it net profit? Is it revenue? Is it post- or pre-tax? Le Grand Bleu (talk) 13:27, 30 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Earning and profit/loss are equivalent terms. The problem is that some of the companies (e.g. Apple) have after-tax earnings listed and some others seem to have pre-tax earnings listed. A consensus should be reached here on whether to list pre-tax or after-tax earnings and that should be clearly stated in the lead, one way or the other. M Carling14:04, 16 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
