Untitled

[edit]

Why feature the newspapers where circulation is over 10,000 and weekly neewspapers with circulation of much less than 10,000?

There are many Canadian newspapers with circulation of 3000-8000 such as the Trail Daily Times, Nelson Daily News, Red Deer Advocate, etc. All that the parameter of 10,000 does is define large cities, not newspapers.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Cadillac (talkcontribs) 18:22, 31 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I deleted The Canadian National Newspaper from the National English-language newspapers section. As far as I can tell, this is a marginal (or not-physically extant) paper with no real distribution. Having "National" in your name does not make you a national paper. - Haunti (give'r) 18:32, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wochenblatt?

[edit]

A source referees to a story that supposedly appeared in Canada in 1960 in a newspaper named Wochenblatt (=Weekly). Did such a newspaper ever exist, of is this some typo or mistranslation in the source? -- Petri Krohn (talk) 16:49, 29 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Useful resource

[edit]

This list is rather weak on newspapers which have ceased publication but still exist in libraries or on websites. If anyone has the time to repair, I would recommend this source: Inventory of Ontario Newspapers 1793-1986 compiled and edited by J. Brian Gilchrist.Rdmoore6 (talk) 03:34, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No objections; merged. 162 etc. (talk) 22:53, 25 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
