This is a discussion of the insignificant [POV] lobster industry of the Pacific - the true lobster is in New England. This article needs a major overhaul, which I guess I will do. Also the descriptin gives wire traps as rectangular while the image is semi-circular. --Dumarest 15:00, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
This article needs to be completely redone. I lobster in Maine (the most abundant lobster state) and pretty much none of these laws/rules apply.

The article is sorely lacking in a worldwide perspective. I added a section for lobster fishing outside of North American, and then added the expand template.
