Rationale for importance[edit]

The reason for marking this article spaceflight-importance=High is that this was the first extra-terrestrial rover mission. (sdsds - talk) 17:57, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong Mass[edit]

The given mass of 5600kg seems to be that of the whole Luna 17 (given as 5700kg there), not of just Lunokhod 1. Lunokhod 2 lists 840 kg. -- Grumbel (talk) 17:56, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

New Image from LROC camera[edit]

Misleading date of detection[edit]

Hello everybody.
There is a discrepancy between the German and the English version leading to different detection dates. In the German section the date of detection is March (must be before March 17, 2010http://www.zeit.de/wissen/2010-03/mondmobil-gefunden; "Lunar rover detected" (German newspaper article)) whereas the English version is written in way that hides the date of detection and could lead to the opinion that date of detection is April 2010.--M.langenbusch (talk) 20:27, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reflector pannel[edit]

The reflector panel, made up of 14 corner cubes prisms and protected by a cover, was situated on an extendible device towards the front of the vehicle. It was build in France by Sud Ouest Aviation company.
