This wiki says "After gaining her PhD in 1942, she was appointed a full professor at Miner Teachers College. In addition to teaching and serving as chair of the Geology Department at Miner Teachers College (1923–1933)..."
The newspaper article, here states that, in 1950, she lost her appeal to the local? Board of Education for being passed over for full professorship and and the chair by the less senior Dr Bernard Nelson. Trilotat (talk) 18:51, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Is her birth name, Marguerite Thomas, born to Clara E. Thomas? Was she married to Dr. Otis J. Williams? See this newspaper article. That article, if indeed the death announcement of Dr. Williams' mother, provides some family names and siblings. Following those connections, see this find-a-grave posting reflecting a headstone with the same birthdate. If this is where Dr. Williams is buried, suggests she was married to Dr. William Harris Foster (dentist) and it provides death date as 17 Aug 1991. Trilotat (talk) 19:30, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
