Current Status?

[edit]

The article mentions his service until Nov 2012, but nothing afterward. Did he retire or move on to another assignment. His departure from command seemed sudden, at only a little over a year. Did he choose to leave command or was he forced out for disciplinary action? These things should be included in the article for completeness. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.107.240.37 (talk) 19:58, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Mark Hertling. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. More Bio, Less Promo

[edit]

I'm taken aback with the over-use of 'innovative' and mention of radical changes the Army wasn't wise enough to implement. Don't know enough about him to know how to tone it down, but it's not really an encyclopedic entry yet. DeknMike (talk) 05:14, 8 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Mention of serious charges such as *Treason*

[edit]

No mention of serious charges such as *treason* are appropriate unless properly determined by due process.

Furthermore, the approval or disapproval by an article's subject of another's action(s) certainly should not be used to slander or libel that subject without providing thorough sources of fact, not opinion. It should be extremely rare and proven necessary to reflect on the reputation of an article subject because of the actions of a third party unless the subject was part of those actions.

Statements using words such as "treason" should be required to be identified as to time and source, never anonymous. If the writer of such statement is qualified to make such a statement, there should also be a listing stating as to why that person is qualified to say so. Full Semi Automatic...

[edit]

Isn't he the fellow who was interviewed on CNN regarding AR-15 types rifles and brought in the term "Fully Semi Automatic"? Not to mention poor weapons handling. 204.106.234.244 (talk) 16:33, 12 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
