My arguments for removing.

In keeping with Xiner's suggestion, here my reasoning for/opinions on name changes thus far:
The article was originally called "Matchbox (toy company)". There is and never was a toy company called "Matchbox". Matchbox is a brand owned over the years by Lesney Products, then by Universal and Tyco (under the name "Matchbox Internat'l Ltd."), and now by Mattel. I felt that if Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, then the entries should have a correct name if possible.
Thus, I changed it to "Matchbox (toys)".
Recently, it was changed to "Matchbox Toys". This, again, I feel was incorrect. As opposed to, say, Dinky Toys, where the name actually consists of two words, there is not an official trademark for the name Matchbox Toys. The old Lesney buildings did have a neon sign on them, "Lesney's 'Matchbox' toys," but the actual trademark refers only to the name Matchbox.
My feeling is that the current (4th) name, "Matchbox (toy)", is sufficient to disambiguate the product from other articles with the Matchbox name.

I personally don't feel that this article is too long. It does cover a lot of ground, but it is structured sufficiently. Some "long" topics (Powertrack, Lesney Products) have already been moved to dedicated articles. Also, though perhaps a weaker argument, other similar articles are as long or longer. I have just revised the grammar under the Video Games heading. It's in fine shape now, only I am curious as to the accuracy of the information. 'As with any other item dealing with transport, sport or similar themes, it did not take long before Matchbox models became collectable items, with rabid followings, collectors' meets, etc. The Fred Bronner Corp., American importer of Lesney toys, took a first step towards organising this movement to a small extent by creating the "Matchbox Collectors Club", which produced a polished, quarterly, 4-6 page newsletter for a small membership fee, starting in the late 1960s. The MCC was primarily aimed at younger collectors.'
