I removed de [citation needed] tag on the HMMWV, because in the # HMMWV page you can see México as a current Operator, and because i have see them many time in the Mazatlan navy base.
There are allot of gunboats in the maxican navy and some of them have the typicall armament of a frigate. They are worth mentioning. So I have put a list of the gunboats and their names and class B1412 20:25, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
websites and places keep on saying that the uss ogden and the uss cleveland were given to mexico. Is this true B1412 20:25, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Mexico has finally built its own missiles for it ships it should be mentioned.
Isn't the official name "Armada de México"? Secretaria de Marina would be the official name of the government department. Similarly, the United States Navy is the organization which is operated by the Department of the Navy. See this Jornada article discussing naval construction plans from 12/10/07: http://www.jornada.unam.mx/2007/12/10/index.php?section=politica&article=019n1pol&partner=rss. glasperlenspiel (talk) 14:42, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Official Name is『Secretaría de Marina - Armada de México』http://www.semar.gob.mx/sitio_2/ Arthur Water (talk) 21:41, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to upgrade and kinda modernize the navy section which is this, obviously. i will use updated information from the navys website and other updated resources.Homan05
The 3 oficial components of the Armada de Mexico are:
This last one can be translated in several ways, and originate a discussion equivalent to "potayto potatoe." I suggest we focus instead in the escence of the Armada de Mexico and its functions. By the way, it would be useful to mention its leading role in the war on drugs.BatteryIncluded (talk) 14:21, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Disculpe, pero u did say specificly the role of the Armada de Mexico in the war on drugs, thought u meant that...and yes i know it is no secret about the 7 billion in the WOD. Homan05 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.34.44.19 (talk) 20:31, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I am not sure where to include this. Textron published that a $24 million deal was just signed with the Nexican Navy for the purchase of six Textron Motor life boats (MLB): Reuters news
These ships look like many other ships that resemble stealth ships.Villagomians (talk) 01:37, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This article doesnt say anything about mexico's naval battles or when the armada was instituted. It also doesnt say anything about old historical ships either. Also mexico was the first country to use airplane against ship in the battle of Topolobampo in 1914.I have put a list and what war or time it accured on the article.Villagomians (talk) 14:16, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm it would be difficult but you can get more info or piks if you go to yahoo.com.mx but if you guys can type in spanish go ahead. (User talk:Homan05)
somebody has typed in alot of weapons that mexico probably doesnt have or maybe does have but with no source to back it up. (User talk:Homan05) —Preceding undated comment was added at 16:58, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm surprised there's no mention of the Sukhoi Su-27 aircraft, which are operated by the Aviación de la Armada de Mexico (Air Arm of the Mexican Navy). There's a picture at Mexico#Military and numerous information sources which can easily be Googled. Cabrasucker (talk) 19:00, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Mexico did have plans for SEMAR to purchase several Su-27s in 2004-2005 but the funding for the procurement curiously lined the pockets of many Mexican politicians and Navy officials. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.181.40.156 (talk) 01:02, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'd like to see this information redacted to reflect less of a list of equipment and more like a readable article. My opinion... -BatteryIncluded (talk) 10:11, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
ive added a new article about the shipyards of the mexican navy, titled Secretary of The Navy Shipyards. If anybody has any detailed or Pictures of the yards please by all means add them. As for details, please to remember to add a reference. thank you .Homan05
Despite of coming straight from the SEMAR webpage, the Order of Battle of the Naval Infantry Corps was out of date, on page 21 of the Informe 2009 is given the current organization:
http://www.semar.gob.mx/transparencia/informes_labores/3_informe_labores.pdf
So refrain from changing the updated overview. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.151.51.25 (talk) 19:51, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Although I have heard of rumors of Mexico acquiring some ex-USN OHP frigates, it's been awhile since the rumors began and it's been said that the US Navy would remove all the weapons systems prior to the sale. I can understand the deletion of the security-sensitive Tomahawk Cruise Missiles but all weapons?? That would make it seem pointless to purchase said vessels. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.68.207.144 (talk) 18:49, 31 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Someone keeps adding the OHP boats Curts and McClusky to the Mexican Navy inventory and to the OHP-class page of wiki. The information that they were transferred is JUST A RUMOR, spread by defense enthusiast sites and blogs. It is NOT real. The McClusky has yet to even decommission. The Curts is undergoing refurbishment in the USA for either storage or sale to a foreign Navy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.181.40.156 (talk) 00:22, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The black green with and red colors are representative of the army, not the navy, I would really appreciate if somebody could get rid of it.
The crest is accurate though.
