We're ridiculously inconsistent throughout Wikipedia in our usage of "mint mark" versus "mintmark".
Even this article, sadly, can't seem to make up its mind. The dictionary, by the way, seems to favour "mintmark", but I personally agree with Alan Herbert, whose excellent "Minting Varieties and Errors" is absolute in its use of "mint mark". The passage about Paris Mint needs some serious work:
Torch is an Engraver General's privy mark (1896-1930 Henri Patey) that was used on coins produced by other mints
Cornucopia is used by other French mints too.
Thunderbolt - is Poissy Mint!
