This article is written in British English, which has its own spelling conventions (colour, travelled, centre, defence, artefact, analyse) and some terms that are used in it may be different or absent from other varieties of English. According to the relevant style guide, this should not be changed without broad consensus.

This article should really be moved to NDC at this point. INDCs are now a bit of an administrative technicality vs. NDCs. Peregrine981 (talk) 12:53, 23 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

They're technically different items. The old page title reflected when this page was created, which was before INDCs became proper NDCs (so to speak, see [1] for example of a country asking for a technical distinction, and [2] for an automatic change), and much of the existing content seems to have been created then, so INDC is appropriate. I expect any more recent content that could be added would use NDC however. CMD (talk) 02:06, 10 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

+1 I suspect what needs to happen is a distinction between the historical "INDCs" and the continuously updating NDCs, Sadads (talk) 12:15, 10 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I've done some work on this article and have included an explanation of NDC versus INDC. @User:Peregrine981 I tried to ping you in one of my edit summaries where I pointed out a possible "citation needed" for some sentences that you had added (but I had the syntax wrong). Should the article include tables about the current/updated NDCs or is that included elsewhere in Wikipedia? I guess perhaps it's enough that we point people to those relevant tracking websites and don't need to list anything here (could be a nightmare to keep updated). Just wondering in case such lists are already in a relevant sub-article but haven't been linked yet. Perhaps they could also reside in the "climate change in country XX" suite of articles in future. I've done a bit of work on this article today. I am just wondering if anyone has suggestions on what else is currently missing, which section should be beefed up and alike? I've added two excerpt from Paris Agreement as that article is a GA and recently updated article. Also further updates are probably more likely to be made there, rather than here, and this article can then benefit through the use of the two excerpts (not surprisingly, the Paris Agreement has far higher pageviews than the NDC article). Could be good to mention how countries (developing, especially) are making conditional and unconditional contribution towards respective emission reduction.
