Dates[edit]

Dates have been changed to make them consistent across Nausicaä related articles. Tag { {Use mdy dates|date=November 2013} } added. Previously placed date tag removed. Feedback welcomed. Verso.Sciolto (talk) 06:43, 23 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dead Links[edit]

There are quite a few dead link / link rot warnings in the hidden category for this article. After checking and updating a few of the links It looks like there is only one truly dead link left in this article at the moment (November 26, 2013). I have been unable to find the full text for Story 4 from Amy Blom's, now defunct, student page at: http://students.ou.edu/B/Amy.C.Blom-1/folklore/story4.htm Unfortunately story 4 appears to be the only story not archived at: http://web.archive.org/web/20030515075722/http://students.ou.edu/B/Amy.C.Blom-1/folklore/introstorybook.htm Links to the other stories on her page still work via the way-back machine but none of the snapshots for story 4 has any content.

The original link has been used as reference for this this article since 2008 and the entry currently looks like this: The Princess Who Loved Insects was about a clever and beautiful princess who rather than beautifying herself and courting, would spend her time outdoors playing with bugs and caterpillars. Reference: {cite web|url=http://students.ou.edu/B/Amy.C.Blom-1/folklore/story4.htm%7Ctitle=Story #4 - The Princess Who Loved Insects|first=Amy|last=Blom|date=April 1, 2003|accessdate=November 6, 2008}} {{Dead link|date=October 2010|bot=H3llBot} .

The editor who introduced the reference in this article also inserted the link in Tsutsumi Chūnagon Monogatari. Unfortunately that editor is no longer active. The dead link warning was placed by a bot over two years ago. Is it ok to rephrase the entry and replace the reference with a different source? "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind"[edit]

The usage and primary topic of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind is under discussion, see talk:Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (manga) -- 67.70.32.190 (talk) 03:58, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Bad title[edit]

"Nausicaä (character)" is a bad title for this article, since Nausicaa from the Odysseyisalso a "character". I'd like to move this to『Nausicaä (anime and manga character)』or『Nausicaä (Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind)』or something like that. Thoughts? AJD (talk) 16:13, 16 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Ajd: I do agree on this assessment. I renamed the article further to Nausicaa (Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind) as it pertains to the specific manga and anime in hand, kinda like The Doctor (Doctor Who)orThe Doctor (Star Trek: Voyager). Yoshiman6464 ♫🥚 05:41, 23 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

About the unreliable sources tag[edit]

Dani Cavallaro's publications have been designated as generally unreliable sources in this discussion at the reliable sources noticeboard. Citations to her work can be replaced with more high-quality ones or removed, and the tag can be taken off once complete. TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 20:45, 6 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
