This is Bot placed notification, another user has nominated/tagged the image --CommonsNotificationBot (talk) 03:24, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

☒N File deletedbyUser:Fastily on 29 April 2012. The discussion page appears to no longer exist, though this image was discussed in the Korean Air Lines Flight 007 article's Talk page (archived here). This section on the Naval trawler article's talk page is orphaned.

Mention "Harry Tate's navy"?

[edit]

I wonder if mention of the unofficial name of "Harry Tate's navy" should be included in the United Kingdom section. Harry Tate was an English comedian and has a Wikipedia article about him. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tony Holkham (talkcontribs) 23:23, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I deleted the gallery because the images there, which subjects are identified as being trawler images, do not portray life at sea that is significantly different from life at sea aboard any other WWI vintage ship.

Trappist the monk (talk) 10:50, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I entirely disagree and have reinstated the gallery. The images are in many ways specific to WWI trawlers, such as the size and layout of the wheelhouse, engine room, gun and forecastle, slipping the "kite" etc, altogether a significant evocation of what life would have been like onboard a WWI trawler. --Epipelagic (talk) 19:41, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Trawlers of the Soviet Navy

[edit]

Surely, the Soviet Union had naval trawlers. It would be difficult to imagine the Soviets not having naval trawlers. But they did have naval trawlers, though they were built by the United States and transferred to the Soviet Union. There exists the Wikipedia Category:Trawlers of the Soviet Navy at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Trawlers_of_the_Soviet_Navy (sorry, I was having trouble getting the link to display in the edit preview), but this general article about Naval trawlers makes absolutely no mention of any Russian trawler. If I were to add these to the article, how should we like it to appear? I personally don't have much to add to this article, so a better equipped editor would have to expand on the topic.
