New Name? Old Name Being Used for Other Purposes?

[edit]

I've never been to New Mexico, so this is all information from research. It seems that what used to be the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, or NMSO, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2011. It emerged from that bankruptcy with a new identity: New Mexico Philharmonic. That name, it seems to me, SHOULD be the name of this page now, and New Mexico Symphony Orchestra should REDIRECT to the new name.

Then, there is another issue. The link to the NMSO website on this Wikipedia page links to a GAMBLING website, NOT an orchestral site. I didn't take time to read all of it, it seems to use some NMSO info, but the bulk of the info is about gambling. However if you go to the website for the New Mexico Philharmonic, you're going to find a working orchestra.

So, it seems to me that the NMSO name has been taken over by a gambling concern, and the orchestra has changed its name due to the bankruptcy, and all of this needs to be reflected in the Wikipedia pages. Kelelain (talk) 23:57, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
