Comment[edit]

Nozomi is also a Japanese female name. Should this be added to the article? 85.164.76.159 17:09, 13 Feb 2005 (UTC)

I'm not sure. Hope is also an English female name, but if an American spacecraft was named Hope we probably wouldn't mention the female name. -- Curps 17:59, 13 Feb 2005 (UTC)

U. Tokyo involvement?[edit]

The article states:

It was constructed by the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, University of Tokyo

At that time, ISAS was not part of U Tokyo anymore. Was there a major involvement of U Tokyo? --Fukumoto 15:08, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No consensus to move. Vegaswikian (talk) 19:55, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nozomi (probe)Nozomi probe — for consistency, per Suisei probe (PLANET-A) – 86.162.163.210 (talk) 22:37, 29 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Current status - fixed[edit]

Article says it is still active. Can we add : how much fuel is left, what communications are working, and when it next approaches Mars ? Rod57 (talk) 09:30, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The operation was terminated by sending the cease command on December 31, 2003. (The communication was lost before that already.) --Fukumoto (talk) 15:58, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong orbit - fixed[edit]

The article says that this spacecraft is orbiting the sun, but the summary box says it's a satellite of Mars. Greg (talk) 06:24, 16 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Summary box now says heliocentric. Could add period. - Rod57 (talk) 08:11, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
