Greater Toledo

[edit]

Should bryan, wauseon, and swanton even be listed? Are they not "greater toledo"? What makes them better than say Oregon, Ohio. Or Bellevue, Ohio. Swanton for sure is part of greater Toledo, heck it borders Toledo, I'll leave the other two up for discussion. What's wrong with Bellevue? It's the main Norfolk Southern rail yard between Toledo and Cleveland. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.49.26.116 (talk) 12:18, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Route designations(direction)

[edit]

To be in line with Wikipedia standards are not highways suppose to be listed South to north and west to east? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Otr500 (talkcontribs) 17:02, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article already looks to be in the correct west-to-east order to me. Brian Powell (talk) 17:30, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes but this might be misleading right?『..east–west highway..』Otr500 (talk) 11:29, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That is the normal way of writing it. Have you ever seen anyone say something is west–east? Brian Powell (talk) 14:31, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have not but I was just making sure everyone else follows the same thinking. It just takes getting used to listing an east/west highway with the western terminus listed first and the direction of travel from west to east. As a truck driver the direction of travel is normal to me because of the beginning mile markers. I would like to ask someone to look at some things. 1)- The section "Route discription" is pretty much blank(except for the naming section) and the paragraph after the lead is apparently the route discription. 2)- The "History" section suggests converting to prose but it seems to me that a listed history time-line is more correct, easy to read, and follow as presented. Although I have to work on this myself I don't feel that all information is always correct only when written in prose. 3)- I have considerable information on the section of SR 2 from Toledo to the eastern junction at I-90, including points of interest, but would like someone to do a follow up edit for any corrections. 2C

[edit]

As soon as someone uploads a 2C shield, I will rewrite some stuff, change the chart, etc. Cards84664 (talk) 14:49, 26 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Why wait? –Fredddie 01:58, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
So there aren't red placeholders for the image. Cards84664 (talk) 10:33, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see any reason to create a 2C shield, so don't wait. –Fredddie 01:36, 28 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I could put the shield in the table, make a small infobox, etc. Cards84664 (talk) 01:42, 28 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Nothing is actually signed as 2C. It is an internal designation. Bitmapped (talk) 20:39, 28 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, I had already figured that out. Cards84664 (talk) 00:18, 29 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Google Maps citations

[edit]

@Cards84664: can you provide titles for all of the {{google maps}} citations? As it is, you did not provide a title for each of the 17 footnotes citing that mapping service, defaulting to the name of the website, which is poor form. When I switched them over to use the most appropriate template, it defaults to repeating the article title as a map title. That's fine if you had used a single map showing SR 2 from end to end, but instead, someone needs to provide appropriate titles for each footnote. Imzadi 1979  01:27, 29 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'll get on it tomorrow morning, thank you for telling me this. Cards84664 (talk) 02:36, 29 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
