Early comments[edit]

Yes, we are talking about non-human animals, that will be understood by all readers. The point that humans are animals can be made much more subtly than moving the entire article to something unwieldy.

I added a see also human-powered transport

This article should be "List of animals used for transport"...[edit]

My first reaction to this article was a deep disappointment that I could not read how, exactly, buffalo have been used for transport. Then I realized a more accurate title and context of this article would be if it were simply titled "List of animals used for transport". This isn't an article about "animal powered transport". Buffalo[edit]

Can someone please explain this: "buffalo (as distinct from bison)." American bison opens: "The American Bison (Bison bison), also called Buffalo, ...," which is a contradiction of this statement (or perhaps the statement in this article needs to be clarified). btm 04:23, 1 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Can it be added to the article? Or ain't it really used for transport? 189.5.143.155 02:27, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move to "Animal-powered transport"[edit]

The page should be moved to animal-powered transport" (with the -). This so it aligns to other articles (Human-powered transport, ...)

Support -- so I've put the move request and banner in place... EdJogg (talk) 23:14, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Page move has been completed. (Required admin assistance.) EdJogg (talk) 06:54, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. Why is this still at nonhuman_animal-powered transport? I'll re-move it. Headbomb {talk / contribs / physics / books} 18:58, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
