Untitled[edit]

Aren't his two children from his previous marriage? Medgyessy and Csaplár have been married for 10 years or so... - Alensha 17:00, 24 Jun 2004 (UTC)

"other information" and calling someone an agent[edit]

I am not positive that the information in that section (second paragraph) is NPOV or factual. Not that I liked Mr. Medgyessy but the section seems to be based only on the oppositions' side. The section needs verification and/or cross-checking with reliable sources.

Reading it occured to me that it would be an important information to mention that in the Hungarian politics it is a central question (or the main way to disqualify opposite party members) to point out that someone was the member of the secret service in the past. (See also: Államvédelmi Hatóság.) Earlier or longer the membership, the more evil the politician, or at least the publicity it results. Often it is not required to be backed with facts, usually the accusation is enough to get rid of someone. Since Hungary have a rich history in secret government movements (one base of a working socialist republic I reckon) most of the politicians could have possible affiliations with the services this way or that way...

But well, this information have no place in the article, and no place anywhere, so I might well noted it here. :) --grin 10:32, 2004 Aug 25 (UTC)

The neutrality of some phrases in this article is disputed. The D-209 controversy should be re-written in a more moderate style. E.g. the journalist's name (in English: Matild Torkos) is a particular information here. The quick addition of some information on the in-coalition debate is not essential. Facts are as follows: - Premier Medgyessy resigned, - The bigger party of the governing coalition (MSZP, Hungarian Socialist Party) elected its candidate (Ferenc Gyurcsány) for substituting him. The legal situation is more complex because the President of Hungary, Ferenc Mádl declared that he would grant a mandate for forming a new government only 30 days after this resignation.

Summarizing these all: now the situation is good for adding information of temporary significance only.
