Why should it be deleted? This is a major breakthrough for Perodua. It's a key car for them and this deserves a special article on it compared with other previous mediocore models. --Haniff 06:40, 8 Jun 2005 (UTC)
i believe the savvy and the myvi cannot directly be compared to one another, even though they were launched almost at the same time. the myvi is a supermini, and the savvy is a compact car. The savvy should compete with the likes of the perodua kelisa, instead. but i guess it's a matter of how you see it
so do you think myvi should compete with Getz? --Haniff 09:02, 30 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Myvi best competitor is, none other than, the Kia Picanto. It's very obvious, their shape are totally alike. Total flat back and mini van type front.
One MAJOR reason Myvi got so much attention is because Perodua is smart in using the world largest Auto company, Toyota, to back them up. Many people buy the car because of the word "Toyota" is involved, worst is even before the car is launched or even seen the car, people already BOOKED it. That's how SERIOUS and how much the word "Toyota" affected the car.
Anyhow, if it were a Toyota car released in SEA, like the Vios/Avanza, then it would really resembles as Mini Avanza, taking off the middle compartment of Avanza, lowering it. The front and back are pretty much similar, perhaps a facelift will do the job. And best of all, both share the same attention.
No doubt, Myvi is still a good looking car despite being back up the name "Toyota".
Toyota own Daihatsu which Daihatsu own Perodua. thats the reason why Perodua rebadge the Daihatsu car, especially the Myvi.
So what the fuss you saying about Perodua using Toyota as marketing? Why don't you say Wira and Saga are using Mitsubishi parts?
If you compare to others Proton car, Myvi offer a better looking and more stylish product. And during the launching of this car, Proton have a very bad reputation of making low quality and outdated car. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.50.149.185 (talk) 00:10, 29 September 2008 (UTC) [reply]
