Would someone that knows please add a description of the various types of PMEL items? Is there an objective means of classifying items as PMEL Type I, PMEL Type II, etc.? It is difficult for me to tell from this article which K-section handles hand tools like torque wrenches. It might also improve the article to include a list of which bases have PMEL labs. If I remember right, when I was at Rhein Main in the late 80s, we sent our test equipment out to another base that served all of W Germany. But I don’t remember which base that was.
