Nude photo controversy

[edit]

This should be updated to include the hubbub surrounding the leaking of nude photos of Renee. Not sure where the update should go. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.253.18.109 (talk) 22:55, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nude Photos? that is an understatement. Nude photos can be classy :) We will have to wait for a media outlet to pic it up or her publicist to spin it. 144.131.125.143 (talk) 00:02, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed the mention as unsourced and a potential BLP violation. Even if images are of her, I'm not sure it deserves a mention here. Huntster (t @ c) 03:32, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Her name is mentioned in every news article that discusses the current phone hacking ring pilfering nude photos from celebrities. It's newsworthy and relevant. The photos can be found in a simple Google search, and it's dishonest to not include a mention in this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.253.18.73 (talk) 21:26, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

She's not acknowledging it, but the photos are everywhere on the Internet, viewable with a simple Google search. I think it's dishonest not to mention that her nude photos were leaked by the infamous cell phone hack of 2011. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.253.18.109 (talk) 19:10, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Skylark release date

[edit]

I'm removing the July 11, 2007 date being given via Amazon because depending on where you access the page either no date is given or a date of July 11, 2010 is given. According to a post in early May 2007 on the officially Renee Olstead message board, an Amazon spokesperson says they have no release date, so the say July 11 at this stage is probably premature. The key is Olstead's official website and thus far no information about Skylark has been posted. Until it is, we should avoid posting dates that could violate Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. 23skidoo 20:39, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Email haxing

[edit]

(Text removed for BLP issues) I removed the text of this section as I considered it a violation of WP:BLP, Wikipedia's policy on referring to living people, which applies to talk pages as well as articles. But just to comment on the issue at hand: recent editors of this article were trying to apply that policy to this article, by ensuring that all contentious claims are backed by reliable sources, and that tabloid 'scandals' and 'controversies' aren't given excess attention. My personal view is that the explicit picture hacking probably is worth mentioning here, but that mention of it should be kept as brief as possible. Robofish (talk) 17:20, 1 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for removing the offensive material from here. I've pared down the material in the article still further.--Bbb23 (talk) 17:33, 1 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, Kww disagrees with me. I don't intend to battle over it, so it will remain the way it is.--Bbb23 (talk) 19:38, 1 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

pageant

[edit]

"Renee was married to pianist Tommy King, and legally took his last name. The two divorced in 2020. As Renee King, she was crowned Ms. West Coast at the Miss West Coast pageant in 2016."
What is this? Married "Miss" pageant? I thought that "Miss" contests are for unmarried and "Mrs" (such as Mrs. World) for married women.
At least current rules on front page of that pageant site says "Ms" are currently not married, and "Mrs" for Married Women Only. 46.132.29.190 (talk) 07:42, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
