This should never have been a redirect to an individual; evidently the work of the busy little moles of the Public Affairs Bureau (British Columbia) in their efforts to sow BC Liberal politicians on every possible page/redirect in Wikipedia.....this should be a separate article, though ultimately British Columbia Ministry of Forests is the target and the "Range" portfolio is slightly separate (formerly under the Ministry of Agriculture, and at one point under Lands). Coleman is now Minister of Social Development so the redirect is even more inappropriate, and beacuse of the rotating nature of BC cabionet appiontments it's all the more reason that redirects for portfolios should not go to those currently holding them.Skookum1 (talk) 16:39, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Controversies[edit]

The "Controversies" section of this article was constructed by User:Theadjuster, who did a similar thing at Christy Clark, and it came to dominate the article. Theadjuster is now blocked for it and a ban has been suggested - see this sectionatWP:ANI (permanent link). There were a lot of primary sources, and WP:OR going on, and the whole thing looked like a violation of WP:BLP and WP:UNDUE. I have, therefore, removed it. Discretionary sanctions are applicable to all BLP articles, so please do not restore any of the removed material without seeking a consensus here first. Casinos and money laundering[edit]

I added a paragraph mentioning the shutdown of the Integrated Illegal Gambling Enforcement Team in 2009. Coleman has received a fair bit of media attention over the years related to that and to casinos and money laundering generally, most recently after the release of Peter German's "Dirty Money" report in 2018. --Jd4v15 (talk) 22:49, 22 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Conflicting sources on age/birth year[edit]

This article from the Langley Advance Times in 2022 lists him as age 68, which would place his birth year around 1953-54. However, this CBC article from 2020 lists him as age 64, which would place his birth year around 1955-56. Absent more authoritative sources, I have chosen to remove any mention of age/birth year from the article. Hinto (talk) 18:08, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
