Missing section[edit]

I imagine that at one stage it was intended to fill in the section on his career; this has apparently been forgotten. Shem (talk) 18:14, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

So it would seem. These might help: F. W. Beechey, Narrative of a voyage to the Pacific and Bering's Strait, to co-operate with the polar expeditions: performed in His Majesty's Ship ‘Blossom’ in the years 1825–8 (1831); William Roberts, Sir William Beechey, RA (1907); Anne O. Crookshank and the knight of Glin, The painters of Ireland, c.1600–1920, 2nd ed. (1979); E. H. H. Archibald, Dictionary of sea painters (1980); Jeanne Van Nostrand, The first hundred years of painting in California, 1775–1875 (1980); David Forbes, Encounters with Paradise (1992); Anne O. Crookshank and the knight of Glin, The watercolours of Ireland (1994); Nancy Moure, Art in California, 450 years (1998); Timothy Harding, ‘Ireland's queen of chess: Frideswide Rowland and her world’, History Studies, vi (Limerick, 2005), 48–63 Lugnad (talk) 10:43, 22 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Date of Death[edit]

Which is it? 14 March, as said in the first sentence, or 8 March, as said in the "Death" chapter with a source? Liadmalone (talk) 09:58, 23 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
