Why does this page name incorporate his middle initial? He calls himsef Rob McNaught and Robert McNaught in a staff listing for Siding Spring [1] The ANU staff directory has him listed as Mr Rob McNaught.[2] I propose to change if no comments made.--Golden Wattle talk 22:32, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uppsala_Southern_Schmidt_Telescope states "the Southern Near Earth Object Survey closed down" which may (or may not) conflict with this article's statement "The SSS is the only active Near Earth Object survey in the Southern Hemisphere". Having known Rob McNaught when we were both undergraduates (atSt Andrews) and being a follower of astronomical news as I still am to this day, my recollection from 30 years ago is that Bob was the first professional astronomer to photograph Supernova 1987A after its initial sightings.
