Can someone help me with this? I'm having trouble wrapping my head around the fact that he was able to bat in both the bottom of the ninth and tenth innings. Another issue is the description of Bruce Sutter as "hard throwing". He was not considered hard throwing at any point in his major league career, having adopted the split-fingered fastball -- an off-speed pitch -- in the minor leagues and riding his proficiency in it all the way to the majors (ironically, with the Cubs). Well WP:NOTSTATS for one.. Stat tables were also the subject of a recent discussion at WP: Baseball where it was decided that they should not be used except in rare occasions. Hmmmm...WP:NOTSTATS says "Excessive listings of statistics. Long and sprawling lists of statistics may be confusing to readers and reduce the readability and neatness of our articles". (emphasis mine).
