Untitled[edit]

hasta la vista song lol.she actually did sing it for one of her albums a reference to terminator films — Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.73.100.55 (talk) 15:10, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Myspace Links[edit]

Does Sarah have an official myspace? Or is there one that is highly used? I seen 2 removed as 'vandalisim' but if there is a good myspace page it shouldnt be removed. There WAS a good one but it seems to have disappeared or been deleted. I dont know: my German inability isn't helping here. Thanks. user:Thegingerone

whistle register[edit]

when does she hit whistle register

She hits G6 in "Summertime" - A Night to Remember —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.210.165.38 (talk) 22:03, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

She also hits F#6 and Eb6 in "Under my skin".

She also hits f#6 in Music is the Key and Love is Color Blind —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.34.33.239 (talk) 10:54, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Music is the Key" highest peak is D6 and "Love is Color Blind" is also a D6. But she hits Eb6 in "Every Moment of my live" and another Eb6 in "My intuition". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.203.139.44 (talk) 21:51, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalisim[edit]

It seems the past few weeks certain unregistered users are doing pointless unfactual edits (the last one was saying her American album wasnt #112 (which it was) but #1). This is getting annoying so please stop.

Intro writting[edit]

I think the comments about her genre is clunky. Maybe rewrite it? I tried but I couldnt think of the proper way. Also she is one of the best selling German female artists of all time...I dont see why that should be removed. And on the note of genres (a big reason its clunky) though she changes the style with various albums she always seems to have a mix of pop, hip pop (hip hop mixed with pop), and blue eyed soul; though in recent years she kinda didnt do as much hip pop. I dont know lets discuss it here and then we can rework it. --Thegingerone 22:29, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

'Impossible Dream' origin[edit]

Dear Thegingerone, in this edit you stated that "all the articles" said that the "Impossible Dream" is by Diana Ross. What articles do you mean by that? The Diana Ross & the Supremes Join the Temptations actually says that the song is taken from Man of La Mancha, and the La Mancha article itself states that the whole thing is by Joe Darion and Mitch Leigh. The Diana Ross, Diana Ross & the Supremes, and The Temptations articles don't seem to mention the song at all. Anyway, I've got no other sources either, I just remember seeing the musical on TV, but I can at least offer the IBDB link from the La Mancha link list (where the Impossible Dream is in the song list). --H.A.L. 09:13, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BTW, I've changed the tenses in the Soulicious paragraph to present/past. The discography page states the album as "released (Germany)" on Mar 30th, maybe you can change that if it wasn't released in the English-speaking countries as well. --H.A.L. 09:13, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Birth name[edit]

Currently the article quotes her surname at birth as both 'Lewe' and Leve'. Which is correct ?

Derek R Bullamore 21:05, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I really doubt that her name was Tulaganova. This is a Central Asian name. None of the parents have this origin. Also how can a woman sing in the same year when she was born. Please someone correct it.

Her birth name is Sarah Lewe. La Lovely 17:42, 18 August 2007 (UTC)--[reply]

the article is a shame![edit]

It's unsourced, it's full of irrelevant gossip and written in a very bad English. And when a user adds a tag please remove it only when the tag's requirements are fulfilled. --Fromgermany (talk) 23:56, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree as it was already pretty well referenced. But I went back through and cleaned it up, and referenced a few more things. Should be good now! As for "irrelavant gossip" Im not sure what your referring but cutting out any major media things with her is not right. Her dress controversy, and anthem incident were both major media events when they occured. Not sure what other gossip there may be. I tried my best to keep it all relevant; and its funny you don't like my English since its the only language that I do speak! Well, hopefully, its all satisfiable now...I don't want an edit war. --Thegingerone (talk) 06:04, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Do not speculate. Refrain from adding your own point of view. Do not use Hyperboles. Keep to a strict encyclopedic style. --Fromgermany (talk) 10:18, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
My own point of view really isn't in there. She was heavily pregnant and has said this is why she didn't promote "Bounce". However I don't speak German so no I don't have all the articles on me. The story about Wyclef and Marc have been said in several interviews and I did source one part (the no gf/Lou rule). Even if you disagree with those edits why do you keep adding the unreferenced tag? All you do is say its a "shame" and "unencyclopediac" though you don't cite and you removed cited sources (and I mean REAL sources not just cheap gossip sites or something like that). --Thegingerone (talk) 21:49, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Whoever wrote all of the above also does not fully understand English, either (which I corrected), because words like {don't, isn't, didn't} always contain an apostrophe, because they are contractions in the English language. For example, "don't" is a contraction of "do not", and the apostrophe is an essential part of it. I mention this specifically because such laziness or ignorance is cropping up more and more.
Also, in the English language, the first use of quotation marks is done with this: " , and then the single mark: ' , is used for quotations nested within quotations. I see that problem in more and more British publications - but, neverless, the American way is the superior and clearer one.98.67.164.99 (talk) 19:19, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Edit War[edit]

I have no problem with changing "Sarah" to "Connor" but you remove valid cited info in the process. Either EDIT the damn thing, or quit revering good edits. Your just being childish and name calling its getting old. --Thegingerone (talk) 12:27, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Typically I am on the fence in these disputes that are referred to a third party, but I find myself firmly entrenched in Fromgermany's camp. The recent edits make the article sound like a fan site. "A few weeks before her son was born" - is this relevant? Is the fact that we track her pregnancy through her career encyclopedic? I am unable to check my skepticism of the one reference to this entire paragraph: the link is either broken, or you need to be a member, and the reference states, "Sarah Connor chat history", which doesn't really give me a good verifiability feeling. Bottom line - article needs massive evisceration of fancraft material. Tanthalas39 (talk) 04:38, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the third party. The reason I feel (and maybe its just me) that the prhase "a few weeks before her son was born" is "encyclopediac" because that life issue prevented her from promoting her album in America. Thus why she wasn't major here or did not make a real attempt here (as a primarily Germany publishing artist). If that still isnt a good enough reason by third party eyes then it can go, but that's why it is there. --Thegingerone (talk) 06:57, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Third opinion[edit]

Hey. I saw this page listed on WP:3O, so here's my take. I'm actually okay with Fromgermany's edits on the page. Adding interjections like "Again with little notice" are unencyclopedic and skew this page towards being WP:FANCRUFT. Furthermore, I think the Personal Life section needs some heavy trimming. There's a great deal of unsourced statements, such as "Terenzi refused to end the relationship and once Connor was pregnant rumors had it that Pearlman gave the ultimatum: replace Marc or end the band" and "X-Cell wanted to use it as a publicty(sic) stunt, though Connor met Marc Terenzi shortly after and the relationship ended." This page should not list every single relationship she's had; rather, it can be trimmed down to say "In the past, Connor has dated x, y, z." Something like that. I just tagged this page as needing better references, and for a change in tone. Until these issues are resolved, do not remove those tags. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 14:54, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Anything that comes from "rumor" or "gossip" absolutely, positively DO NOT belong in any encyclopedia. (Perhaps they belong in fansites.) I personally am amazed that people will actually write stuff in the Wikipedia and openly state that it is "rumor". That one word should flash like a neon sign, "This does not belong here."98.67.164.99 (talk) 19:27, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Issues[edit]

There are a few issues with this article's tone. The constant references to her states of pregnancy in relation to work aren't encyclopedic, and are unreferenced. Is she the only person who ever worked while she was pregnant or after giving birth? This is irrelevant. I'd also like to see confirmation that the release of recordings is under her control, since the article makes it sound as if she dictates to the recording company when this will occur. There are two full sections discussing the recording releases and facts surrounding those that are completely unreferenced. None of the material related to her husband's band issues or the mention of rumors with no citations is appropriate. The tags that were added to this article are appropriate and need to be addressed, not simply removed. It reads in parts like a fanzine. Wildhartlivie (talk) 23:18, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm fair enough. I'll have to clean it up when I get a moment. The hardest part is MOST of her sources in German; a German speaker is needed here. --Thegingerone (talk) 08:00, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Problems during editing[edit]

I was updating the news inserting new info about her new single Under My Skin (see her official site), but something went wrong and some part of the page now are merged. I'm really sorry and don't know what's happened, this is the first time it happens to me. Please forgive me.

Mirotic (the Korean album, not the Japanese version) mentions that Sarah Connor and TVXQ (DBSK in Korea and Tōhōshinki in Japan) bought the rights to the song written by Remee, Lucas Secon and Thomas Troelsen, but neither Under My Skin (Sarah Connor song) nor Jumon: Mirotic (the Japanese version) mention it. Can anybody verify this? moocowsruletalk to moo 07:10, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Digital Only ??[edit]

The phrase "third digital-only single" is meaningless and contradictory. ALL music that is recorded on compact disks is recorded in a digital format.
Also, most cassette tapes are recorded in a completely analog format.
Also, all music is fundamentally an analog form of communication. A song comes out of a singer's mouth in analog form, and it goes into the listener's ears in analog form, and if it was recorded on a compact disk, it was stored as a digital approximation of the analog form.
This "digital-only single" business was doubtless written by someone who knows nothing about electronics technology, etc. This comment was written by a man with a master's degeee in electrical & electronic engineering, and with a specialty in analog and digital communications.98.67.164.99 (talk) 19:36, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Terminator[edit]

I was wondering if there was any connection to the Terminator (franchise), did she take her name from it, was there any legal action? And then I read her personal life... On February 29, 2004 the couple invited their friends to a dinner supposedly to celebrate the birth of their son, John Connor, future leader of the Skynet resistance. However they announced that they in fact had eloped. The couple renewed their vows this time with a big family wedding on August 18, 2005 in Altafulla, Tarragonès, near Barcelona in Spain. The wedding was the subject of their reality show Sarah and Marc in Love, which was crazy because Skynet would easily be able to monitor her whereabouts while on television. Which I found very amusing, I will delete it, but I wonder if this happens a lot. Tydamann (talk) 09:46, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Since Sarah is German nobody overhere brings her name in connection with the Terminator Movie or the Series which are both not really that popular in German speaking Europe nowadays, unlike the singer Sarah Connor. Oh and the name of her son is Tyler not John,he was born as Tyler Terenzi,Connor is just her stage name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.90.254.203 (talk) 10:27, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

you idiot of course terminator is still popular in germany. it is as popular as it is in 2017 in the uk and usa

but she chose the name in order to suggest her irish american roots.

Sarah is her real first name. lewe is her surname which is jewish
