File:Satti Majid.jpgN The image is not a work of the uploader, it is said to be from "Satti Majid Own family", and licenced as CC-by-sa. We need a link that proves that the image is indeed licenced that way.
found the source for this image atbook: ساتي ماجد: الداعية الإسلامي السوداني بأمريكا، 1904-1929published in Sudan in 1995, thus should be OK according to Sudanese law. I have added the appropriate licence to the image. Having said that, if you still in doubt, I can remove the image, although both images are way older than the 25 years required by the Sudanese law for photos, see Commons
"...also known as Shaykh al-Islam in North America..." Is the "In Nort America" part of the name, or just a description of the place where the name is used? If it is the later, use the bold only on the name.
yes, it is part of the name, see ref 1, or the other sources
Early life
"His name Satti means "the poor" in Dongolawi language, contemporary "the reciters of the Qur’an."" I do not understand what does the second part means. Is it another meaning of the name?
rephrased to "In the Dongolawi language, "Satti" means "the poor". However, it has also come to be associated with "the reciters of the Qur’an.""
"He began his education at the khalwa..."
fixed
"journey" does not sound formal enough when talking about studies.
changed to "education"
"He emigrated to Egypt in the era of the Mahdist state (1885–1899), that was not in agreement with the Khedive government." Is that relevant for some reason? Did the disagreements between governments limit the emigration, or something like that?
could not find more information to expand and explain so I removed the part about ", that was not in agreement with the Khedive government"
Departure from Sudan (early 1900s – 1920s)
"...Majid's departure from Sudan was likely to counter perceived anti-Islamic sentiments..." Sentiments in society, or specifically towards him?
amended the sentence to "to counter perceived anti-Islamic sentiments in the west"
Buffalo (late 1920s)
"Satti Majid's influence as a religious leader was challenged by Achmed Ali" And who is that Ali guy, and why did he clash with Majid?
Amended to "Satti Majid's influence as a religious leader was challenged by Achmed Ali, another influential Imam in Buffalo, resulting ..."
"The group, comprising Arab immigrants and black American." This sentence lacks a predicate.
amended to "The AMWSA group, made of Arab immigrants and black American, continued its activities after Satti Majid's .."
Noble Drew Ali and departure from the US
Is this Noble Drew Ali related to the Achmed Ali mentioned earlier?
"During that time Satti Majid viewed Ali as part of an attempt to spreading sceptical views about the finality of Prophet Muhammad's message, particularly focusing on Noble Drew Ali's claims of prophethood..." You should mention the Seal of the Prophets there.
added. The paragraph now reads as "During that time, Satti Majid viewed Ali as part of an attempt to spreading sceptical views about the finality of Prophet Muhammad's message. This is because prophet Muhammad is known as the Seal of the Prophets to Muslims. Majid was especially concerned about Noble Drew Ali’s claims of being a prophet and his creation of a book named Circle Seven Koran
Egypt and return to Sudan
Seems fine
Personal life and death
"He died on 17 March 1963" Is that all? Did he die of old age, or because or some illness or injury? Was he buried somewhere? Was there a funeral?
could not find details about how he died (probably old age), but found where he was buried
Legacy and influence
The photos of Elijah Muhammad and Malcolm X take too much space, and move into the notes and references sections. Use smaller photos, add more text, or select just one.
merged using multiple images templates with 1 caption
