Providing ballistic vests to the Bavarian and North Rhine-Westphalia State Police[edit]

Anyone interested in this subject?

My first suggestion: "More than 30,000 Second Chance Ballistic vests were delivered by Second Chance Body Armor GmbH to provide police officers of the Bavarian State Police and the North Rhine-Westphalia Police around 2000. About five years later, Second Chance officials said, that their ballistic vests do not provide 100 % protection after a certain amount of time. That lead to think the two police forces about a new manufacturer and to replace Second chance products. (The Bavarian Police is now provided with body armor made by Mehler Vario System [1], Second Chance products have been replaced)." Millions of tax money was wasted because the German branch went bancrupt and there was no refund possible."

There are many sources[2] [3] [4] but all in German, I'm afraid.
