It isn't vandalism to remove content from articles based on Wikipedia policy. As I stated in my edit summary, the Wikipedia policies that apply here are WP:VERIFY (all information requires a high-quality source) and WP:INDISCRIMINATE (articles shouldn't just be context-free lists of stuff).
