The link to Alleghany (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alleghany) goes to a bunch of places in West Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Would somebody who knows how to edit web pages create a new stub that gives a tiny bit of information on the Alleghany in Sierra County, California? Pretty Please?

The link to Calpine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calpine) goes to the Calpine Corporation. It needs to be redirected to the town of Calpine, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calpine%2C_California, which is currently a stub. The stub should have a link that goes to the corporation, but again, I don't know how to edit web pages (yet).

[edit]

The link to "Forest" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forest) is weird. Since it's in the list of Cities and towns, I expect it to link to a town in Sierra County. Instead, it links to the generic "forest" topic. I wondered if there is actually a town of Forest in Sierra County, and found a map with a Forest City. With an internet search, I found: http://www.ghosttownexplorers.org/california/forestcity/forestcity.htm, which gives a bit of history and some nice photos of this tiny ghost town. Again, I'm ignorant of how to edit web pages, but would love to see a stub to the real Forest City in Sierra County, with a link to the ghosttownexplorers.org page.

Loyalton Map

[edit]

This page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loyalton%2C_California) is what got me started as an editor of Wikipedia pages. (Or in my case, a whiner about obvious errors that I don't know how to fix.) The map in the upper right shows California divided into counties, with Modoc County highlighted, rather than Sierra County. The adjacent graphic correctly shows Sierra County, with the town of Loyalton shown in the correct location. Clicking on the map gives a bigger version of the map, which - again - incorrectly highlights Modoc County. I would love to fix it, but don't know how. Please help. Thanks.

Wondering how to edit this U.S. County Entry?
The WikiProject U.S. Counties standards might help.

I made a page for Forest, CA, but it still needs a little bit of work, such as the settlement chart and all that. -mrgooseskin —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrgooseskin (talkcontribs) 03:30, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Table without header row

[edit]

The table under "Cities by population and voter registration" contains information on what column means what, but even expanded, this information is not visible so the meaning of the columns is not knowable without viewing the source code.

I have no idea how to fix this problem, alas. 67.188.1.213 (talk) 21:49, 11 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
