As a former student of Sonny Umpad I can certify that the information on this page is true to the best of my knowledge. The bibliography/filmography section contains third party source material which can verify most of the information given on this page. As a new contributor to Wikipedia I am not clear on how satisfy the notibility, certifiability requirements. Some help would be appreciated.(Skmagness05:04, 18 September 2007 (UTC))[reply]
As another former student of Sonny's, I would like to 'second' the importance of remembering him, his work, his creative genius and his combination of lightness of spirit and dedication to teaching. I am wondering about the appropriateness of uploading snippets from Sonny's class videos (he was filming every minute of every private/semi-private class with his students during the era I studied with him (1998-2001), 2 copies of each - one for him, one for the student). This is my first contribution to Wikipedia, so I'll wait for some feedback on this idea, out of respect for Sonny and for Wikipedia. Palad8 (talk) 17:48, 27 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
