Is the recent state dinner for the Prez. of India significant enough to add to this article? Apparently, it was held in a tent on the lawn, to accomodate a bigger guest list. There maybe renewed interest in state dinners because of this event. Could wikipedia have an article for a variety of past state dinners? The NYTimes has links to pdfs of the program and menu. ABC has a link to a pdf of the guest list. These could be valuable primary source documents for either individual articles on individual state dinners, or for the general article. For example, the pdf of the program for the recent dinner states the first state dinner was for King Kalakaua of Hawaii. Anyway, I just thought it'd be cool if someone with knowledge historiographically of past state dinners would be interested in starting individual articles if there is enough significance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.171.40.42 (talk) 17:15, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It seems like this article falls short of describing equally a wide range of nations and state dinner functions, not to mention all pictures and a good portion of the article is only focused on state dinners at the White House and in the United States.--74.131.142.157 (talk) 17:13, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
