Interesting anecdote

[edit]

Hi, there is a valid testable hypothesis that some individuals with unusual neural anatomy (specifically a particular genetic abnormality) can actually cause their muscle cells to emit weak resonant ultrasonic pulses. At short range this might cause effects that could appear to be TK or PK but in actual fact just human physiology. An analogy would be the melon and other organs in dolphins and vocal cords in bats being capable of this so there is precedent. In this case the mouth would only need to be open slightly as the resonant cavity is necessarily small. It is also possible that some individuals have unusually low skin conductivity and thus can build up static electricity while walking around. Interestingly this would potentially go through glass so may work at a distance though bound by the inverse square law so limited to tens of feet at best. Also relevant: modulated infra-red pulses have been observed if individuals are particularly stressed and these could explain some cases of SLI which requires nothng more than the sensor degrading over time and becoming sensitive to thermal infra-red as has been documented here with CdS units and to a lesser degree silicon photodiodes if the IR dichroic filter has been damaged by corrosion. 88.81.140.241 (talk) 05:20, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
