Talk:The Grio
This page has no real content - what is there reads like a PR post by the GRIO people. It is useful to have some of the personnel listed - which is information that is not readily available through The Grio site, but I would like a more independent perspective...

Removed: The editorial comment about the The Grio logo is baseless or founded on original research--1) the image is clearly of a walking staff or talking stick as held by an elder, not a spear. Given that this service is nearly entirely managed and edited by African-Americans it's a bit ludicrous to editorialize that the logo is offensive to African-Americans. Get a source that says so if you know it's true. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.168.141.150 (talk) 02:33, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. This doesn't make sense. Light TV was a channel for years before it was purchased by Entertainment Studios and shuttered. The station was essentially shut down and replaced. Additionally, there should probably be a separate TheGrio.TV page for the TV network, as it is distinct from the website. But that's another issue entirely. Is it possible to restore a Light TV page without creating a whole new page? I agree that they should be separate with references to each other but I don't want to just delete the Light TV information on my update of thegrio's page Marcglobalcommunications (talk) 20:33, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Now that Light TV has been merged into TheGrio, it should be stated that the current Freeform (TV channel) was founded by Pat Robertson as the CBN religious channel. Even though it went through ownership, format and name changes over the years, Freeform gives its foundation year as 1977 as CBN. This set the standard for justifying the merger of Light TV into TheGrio. Steelbeard1 (talk) 16:26, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
