Untitled[edit]

I have seen references to this Russell Hunter interview for years, but have never seem a link to it. Nor can I find any reference to a worker being killed during the mansion's demolition. The page is in serious need of references.

- I have ran an online newspaper search on Denver and found no such references - however I do not believe the archives go back beyond 1997. Someone with access to the physical archives would have to search for the deaths of the workers et cet., much akin to what was done in the movie itself. Except rather than finding what you want in 2 minutes as shown in the film, it would take hours of research. An easier task would be to confirm Russel's address in the 1960s in Denver by historical reverse directories, and to run an obit search with the possibly addresses. The interview is not linked because the original is not in digital form anywhere. Again, you would have to psychically find it in microfilm archives, probably at the Denver Public Library. It would take hours. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryanthompson (talkcontribs) 18:12, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It is widely regarded as one of the most frightening haunted house movies in cinema history

By who exactly? I seem to remember when this movie came out it was critically panned. --The Kevin 09:44, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

By who exactly?

By the audience. Read the ratings on sites like IMBD.

I seem to remember when this movie came out it was critically panned.

'I seem to remember' gives the impression that you aren't sure about what you are talking; if you were sure, you would not say 'I seem to remember'. And who cares about what a critic says? If you believe that because a critic 'pans' this or that movie it's not worth watching, that only shows you have a weak mind who can't think for itself. I too think it's a classic movie, that relies on great atmosphere and a remarkable and interesting story. — Preceding unsigned comment added by The wisher (talkcontribs) 12:53, 5 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think that it was a great movie, very scary, but without gore. My question is, why the R rating ...I doubt it would get PG-13 in todays movie lineup!-Steve

PG-13 didn't exist in 1980, and who's going to watch a PG-rated ("Some material may not be suitable for children") horror movie?  :-) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.163.72.2 (talk) 01:22, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
