Budget source needed[edit]

Hello. There doesn't seem to be a good source for the film's budget. Phactual.com (the current source) seemed to be a shady self-published site for hawking pharmaceuticals. Not sure how reliable their Santa Clause 3 trivia is, and I don't see anything on Box Office Mojo or the numbers. Can we please a) either tag or remove the current source. And b) find a better source or leave it blank until a reliable source can be found for the film's budget? Thank you. 97.124.236.82 (talk) 18:51, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It should probably be left blank. I check The Numbers and Box Office Mojo, no budget figure as you said. I tried various site searches but no budget figures. Variety seemed impressed enough that the film was able to make $20 million its opening weekend "held its own" going up against Borat.[1] LA Times was surprisingly positive about the film[2] Deadline even suggested that it was going to be bigger than Borat[3] which makes more sense when you read that Fox didn't know if Borat was going to succeed and scaled back the number of locations and only planned to go wide in the second week of release.[4] More from LA Times about shooting at Downey Studios in California instead of Canada but no numbers. I haven't been able to find the FILM LA reports for 2006 or 2007 or similar tax incentive reports there's still a chance you might be able to find the budget.
Again, I agree, since there are no reliable sources, a budget figure should not be listed in the Infobox. -- 109.79.78.254 (talk) 14:09, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Tertiary syphilis[edit]

The Mark Kermode quote comparing this film to " tertiary syphilis" is not sourced. I was going to add a reference but the article was locked.

I cannot tell when the lock on this article is due to expire. Would someone please add the above reference to the article. -- 109.76.203.249 (talk) 20:42, 16 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a the {{edit semi-protected}} to flag this up. Please replace "X" the citation needed request directly after the words "tertiary syphilis" with "Y" the above reference to Radio Times magazine. -- 109.79.78.254 (talk) 14:09, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. The rest of the article still needs a lot of work and more references but at least that citation needed request has been closed. -- 109.76.201.161 (talk) 14:09, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Slightly different ending[edit]

Wiki says as Carol is talking to her class, Scott enters and reveals their son Buddy, but I watched the movie Christmas day 2021 and it shows everyone at the North Pole, Carol is not talking to a class just to elves, A girl hugs Frost who melts, the snowmen melt, then Scott brings in the baby, I must have watched a different version?? 100.40.205.204 (talk) 18:36, 25 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

12 Million Budget?[edit]

The first source comes from a Dead Link, which lists the film's art-department budget. It was later removed as the "$12 million" was actually the budget for the Film's art-department. Afterwards, it was replaced with an IMDB Business citation. The $12 Million number was added at some point between 2009 and 2014, which seems to be Original Research - possibly from the art-department pdf. The source was also added by an IP. The current source, which was added in September 13, 2016, doesn't seem reliable. It's from a website called Phactual, which includes headlines like "Best Nootropics" and "Best MCT Oil".

Thus, I removed the $12 million from the article. Yoshiman6464 ♫🥚 16:25, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
