Here we go! Another article for "the Project." He served in Congress for 32 years; surely we can expand this article with more information about him. ProfessorPaul 01:51, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article meets the requirements for class C. His length of service and list of accomplishments suggest he merits an importance rating of mid. I have made these changes for WP:Oklahoma. Bruin2 (talk) 05:13, 31 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Although Steed served in the United States Army during World War II, no reliable sources found as of yet state that he served overseas in a war zone during the war. More specifically, the sources do not establish defining role in World War II. Accordingly, Category:American army personnel of World War II was removed from the article. Semper Fi!
