Note on article development (January 2009)[edit]

I'm working on getting some better sources and cleaning up the external links section. I know where to find them but right now this is just enough to get the article started, split off from Leet. J. Myrle Fuller (talk) 05:03, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Are there characters for all the english alphabet mirrored or not?[edit]

I came to this page to learn how to mirror characters or at least see if it was possible, but the text of the article doesn't make it clear if there characters that can be used for reversing all the characters in the english alphabet without a custom font or not, could someone please clarify this? --TiagoTiago (talk) 23:43, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I found a pretty complete table on http://www.macchiato.com/unicode/mirrored-ascii and expanded it for Lunicode (https://github.com/combatwombat/Lunicode.js). It's not perfect, most characters are approximations, but it's the best I could find. Also, it only mirrors horizontally (ꙅiʜƚ ɘʞi⅃), not vertically. Sovok (talk)

File:Upsidedown2.jpg Nominated for Deletion[edit]

An image used in this article, File:Upsidedown2.jpg, has been nominated for deletion at Wikimedia Commons in the following category: Media without a source as of 8 October 2011
What should I do?

Don't panic; a discussion will now take place over on Commons about whether to remove the file. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion, although please review Commons guidelines before doing so.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.

FileFormat.Info upside-down converter[edit]

Here's another upside-down text converter that appears to handle uppercase letters better than most:

FileFormat.Info – Unicode Upside-Down Converter

Perhaps this should be added to the "Comparison of algorithms" table? — Jaydiem (talk) 22:08, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Potential Correction Notes[edit]

In the line... Answer: ˙sǝgdoɥs s,ʎnƃ ɹǝɥʇo ǝɥʇ ʇɐ sʞool ʇɹǝʌoɹʇxǝ ǝɥʇ 'sɹoʇɐʌǝlǝ ǝɥʇ uı (Using the Revfad algorithm) ...if I'm not mistaken, the "last" word in the answer was meant to be "shoes" and so should have been represented as『sǝoɥs』rather than "sǝgdoɥs". I don't know how the extra letters would have gotten there so I might be mistaken. For this reason, I've added a comment here for review or discussion rather than edit the page itself. Feel free to remove this comment when the issue is resolved. Thanks. DonaldKronos (talk) 17:59, 26 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

'Comparison of algorithms'[edit]

This is not a comparison of algorithms, but rather a comparison of software (interspersed with some 'algorithms'). The list is totally unreferenced, spammy and totally loose from the subject of the page (which does not talk about algorithms in any form). I suggest to remove this list, or at least a strong rewrite-cleanup. --Dirk Beetstra T C 08:14, 9 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"Ʇxǝʇ uʍop-ǝpısd∩" listed at Redirects for discussion[edit]

This should be done on the Smallville page[edit]

Make the smallville page upside down...just joking 2601:CE:4002:A0A0:E0E2:CC10:32A0:6B7 (talk) 03:05, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
