"Placencia International Airport"[edit]

Does anyone have any reliable information on the planned Placencia International Airport?

The only information I have seen so far is from the developer: http://www.theplacencia.com/airport

And some environmental organizations opposed to the airport: http://www.saveourpeninsula.org/developments/airport/placencia-airport.html

The developer's have said that it is scheduled to open in 2011. However, given that the photos still show a partially completed runway I doubt that is possible. Still, I think something should probably be added to the airport section? --Davidley (talk) 01:08, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Transport" or "Transportation"?[edit]

A guideline-violating mass-renaming of all articles of the form "Transportation in X" to "Transport in X" was undertaken starting in March or April of 2006. See here [[1]] for ex -- page down to April 07, 12:38, and then go backwards.

Most of these should be changed back. "Transport in Belize" should remain where it is, however, according to my intial investigations. See, for ex: http://www.belize.gov.bz/cabinet/v_marin/overview.html

I have to agree that this article should be moved back to Transportation in Belize. I checked your link (turned out to be a 404), but then found the reference on the site that you're pointing to. It seems that there was an individual in charge of "transport" in Belize. That should be a bit different from "transportation" which is not a department but more a of an "infrastructure" within a country. I've referenced several other articles on various cities and countries and vote that for consistency check we move back to Transportation. -asmadeus 15:35, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It was agreed a long time ago on Wikipedia:Categories for discussion that Commonwealth countries should use Commonwealth English. The reversal was implemented at category level without any attempt to follow correct procedure. Choalbaton 22:00, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
