Template[edit]

I notice that this congressional delegation page contrasts drastically when compared to the rest. See U.S. Congressional Delegations from Michigan for instance. The system used there, and for the other 49 states besides Ohio, is much clearer to understand than this format. Anyone have a solution? YourNickname 00:42, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)

If I recall, the top table was already here when I got here, so I (or someone?) added the bottom table. Eventually the top one will have to go away, once the bottom one has the full set of data. --Golbez 01:10, Jun 19, 2005 (UTC)

Merge[edit]

This article needs merger with List of United States Representatives from Ohio and List of United States Senators from Ohio. Can someone do it? --Mark_Adler (t·c) 01:29, 24 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Standardization[edit]

This is a wonderfully detailed article, even though it contrasts (asYourNickname rightly says, drastically when compared to the rest. But it really needs to be standardized, I think. Can someone do it? --Mark_Adler (t·c) 01:29, 24 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I have just merged in List of United States Senators from Ohio, and I'm beginning work on standardizing that section with respect to the other 49 States' pages. --Ross 21:34, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Consistency[edit]

I notice that Duncan McArthur appears as the first rep from Ohio's District 3, which he was, elected though never served. However, In District 6, the first rep is given as Reasin Beall, although John S. Edwards was elected but never served (ref Reasin Beall. It seems to me that either McArthur comes out or Edwards should go in (my preference would be the latter). I would make this change myself, but I know that User:Bjoel5785 has been making enormous contributions to getting this page updated and seems to have mastered the intricacies of the table format. I don't want to risk screwing up his work. David 19:41, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think I solved the problem. John S. Edwards doesn't appear in the congressional biographical directory and therefore politicalgraveyard.com which are my main sources even though Duncan McArthur does. I think this is because Duncan McArthur had a term in Congress later on. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have caught him either. Thanks for pointing it out! Bjoel5785 10:07, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for attending to it. Now I'll have to see what i can find about him. Is it just me, or did something happen to the colors for the 18th-20th congresses and a few individuals before that? David 16:07, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I left them blank because I was unable to find their party affiliation. As far as I can tell, most of them were not affiliated with a particular political party at this time but I'm not sure. Bjoel5785 18:18, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
A promising career cut short, a pleasure to find and write about John S. Edwards
