I'm removing this list of "notable or influencial" vice presidents, as it seems to be completely arbitrary and subjective-- not to mention that some people on the list don't seem to be particularly notable at all. Coffee 17:00, 24 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I'm removing Wife of the vice-president terms "veepess or veepa" as protologisms. Please cite sources before re-adding. Xaosflux 04:32, 11 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Can we add equivalents?[edit]

It would be useful to me at least, to have some point of comparison with other countries and cultures. For example, how does a VP in a US company relate to a board director of a british company? Are they the same? Can anyone derive or justify any equivalent comparisons? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.195.176.5 (talk) 22:56, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect from "Vise President"[edit]

Does anyone think that "Vise President" should redirect here? A search for "Vise President" yields an almost random list of results, so people that cannot spell may not find this site at all. 130.20.74.174 21:14, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I do not think that Vise President should redirect here. Wikichief 21:28, 7 June 2007 (UTC)wikichief[reply]

I understood that the distinction held by a vice president is that a vice president could legally bind the company in an agreement. That is the reason that certain organizations have so many vice presidents...the board of directors delegates that authority to vice presidents for financial transactions like mortgages, etc. Wikichief 21:28, 7 June 2007 (UTC)wikichief[reply]

Removed 'in popular culture' section[edit]

I removed the brief final section of this article, 'Vice Presidents in pop culture', which consisted of the following line: "In Toontown Online one of the Cog bosses is the V.P." This is completely non-notable and irrelevant, and if left in the article would only have become more so. Terraxos 21:06, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Contradiction tag[edit]

A Contradiction tag was placed on this article without explanation, but I suspect it was because of the following:

but

I'd like a consensus on changing the sentence of "Governments..." to "Governments with vice presidents generally, but with a few exceptions, have only one person in this rold at any time.", but only if it alleviates the contradiction tag. Can anyone else find a contradiction in this article? Thanks. Kjnelan (talk) 23:26, 3 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Went bold and fixed this, with a different sentence wording that I felt was clearer. Yoshi348 (talk) 20:32, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect[edit]

Changed redirect from Vp to disambiguation page. Believe Vp may be an american expresion for vice president. Seems a bit biased Stupidstudent (talk) 04:52, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Various copy-and-paste errors on this page[edit]

Apologies first, not that familar with Wikipedia correction etiquette, but the page contains various errors (search, eg, "company"), and I don't know what was intended to be able to correct it. 90.21.131.66 (talk) 09:57, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

CVP[edit]

CVP is used in the article but not explained. What is it supposed to be? Chief? Corporate? Company? 81.225.38.208 (talk) 22:18, 3 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
