Are you sure? Maybe you wrote this and then edited it yourself, but I'd say it could easily be longer. Easy to forget, but essentially everything we know about the star comes from its spectrum. Very important. Lithopsian (talk) 19:14, 27 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: procedural close. This isn't really a "no consensus" due to low attendance. Initial nominator now prefers a different name and should nominate all relevant pages for that together as a new RM. Oppose: as with W26, we shouldn't be making up designations that aren't in use in the real world. "Westerlund 1 W243" as such doesn't seem to be used anywhere, except for sources copied from Wikipedia. The close "Cl* Westerlund 1 W 243" is listed at Simbad, even closer if we choose to drop the "Cl*", but that is essentially just made up based on sources that only use the term "W243". W243 is in widespread use, albeit in situations where the context of being in Westerlund 1 is obvious. That title for a Wikipedia article is available, although disambiguating such a short designation might be wiser. W243 (star) would seem to be both unambiguous and accurate. Similar to W26, the term "Wd1-W243" has been used once, and "Wd1 W243" a handful of times. Lithopsian (talk) 14:23, 14 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
