I couldn't find any reliable secondary sources about this, but there appears to be a question mark over whether Scotland's "marriage" to Mabel L. Kennerley - which supposedly took place in Sydney on 2 October 1925 - was ever legally solemnised. At any rate, there seems to be no record of this in the New South Wales marriage indexes. This raises the attendant question of whether Scotland and his first wife Ivy Stewart were divorced or merely separated. I haven't been able to locate Ivy's date of death, although apparently she and Will had two children who were given up for adoption. Muzilon (talk) 12:36, 18 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
