This is an issue I will spend my life campaigning for, until the laws are changed to protect and implement this and for all the countries around the world to unite and have the same global vision for equality."[88] In an interview with Maxazine magazine for the Netherlands, McDonald said "Forget about the label, it's about the person".[89] McDonald, godmother of Paris Pride 2014 said in an interview for the weekly news magazine Le Point (France) she was "shocked by the people anti-gay marriages in France". This shows that there is still work to be done (...) We need to change attitudes and educate people."[90] "I will always fight for equality!"[91]

"The vegan lifestyle has made me feel so good that it's only natural that I want to share it with people."[93]

Tara McDonald identifies as a feminist.[94][95]
