< Template:AMS election box begin

Overview[edit]

This set of templates creates a table to record the results of elections using the Additional Members System, including elections to the Scottish Parliament, Senedd and London Assembly. The system is also used in Germany for elections to the federal Bundestag and the state Landtags, as well as in New Zealand (although election articles there generally use the {{MMP election box}} set of templates).

Usage[edit]

1. Use {{AMS election box begin}} to create the title and header.

2. Use an {{AMS election box with party link}} template for each party or independent candidate that is contesting either the constituency, list, or both. There are variations on this depending on the situation:

3. Below this you can put additional information about the election:

4. Then you can add a row describing the result of the constituency vote

5. Finish the table off with {{AMS election box end}}, making sure to insert it on a new row. This adds a {{notelist}} template automatically.
